The Dog Days of Merida

It's reached the point in my blog where I have introduced puns and clever word play. All viewers should prepare themselves for further word wit in the future.

Today we had a stray puppy cavorting around our school. She would invade classrooms and bring all learning to an abrupt halt without provoking any irritation from the teacher. She was a miracle worker and captivated the entire group with her antics for the entire day. One of the school's faculty decided to adopt her and there was much rejoicing (and visible jealously). This little puppy is the cutest (ex)stray dog on the planet. The only downside was her lovely female scent coated my pants and apparently made my legs incredibly sexually appealing to our house's dog Lucky. Awkward encounters ensued.

Then instead of communications class, we had a cooking class! We learned how to make a very traditional Yucatan specialty, panuchos. Basically, it's a corn tortilla filled with bean paste that is then deep fried. On top of this tortilla we layered lettuce, shredded chicken, onions (heated in water with sour oranges), and avocado. It was DELICIOUS! And so fun to make! I learned that I need to practice cutting avocados, because I butchered the second one and everyone mourned its murder (since everyone in the group apparently loves avocado). I was then reassigned to chicken shredding since my hands are better suited for destroying than creating. But never you fret, my ruined avocado was made into delicious guacamole (even my blunders can be turned into yummy treats) so it did not go to waste but rather found a more suitable application.

Tonight I'm going out to the Mambo Cafe! I am very excited (despite my Spanish deficiencies)
